On my way to the grocery, I started flipping through the radio stations. Sunny days need happy songs. I'm not very cool when it comes to my music choices, and today, I was glad no one knew the song I was head banging and lip syncing to was "Lets Hear it for the Boy" from Footloose. Secret's out now, I guess.
I stopped by Jus's work to drop off a Snickers candy bar. A peanut butter Snickers candy bar, mind you. I had a little note wrapped around it, and the initial plan was to sneak into his office, and put it on his desk when he wasn't looking or something. I wanted it to be a surprise, you know?
Pros and cons of said operation:
Pro: Husband and I see each other for two seconds, under the pretense of delivering brain-creative-juice-enhancing-goods. He's a hard worker, and he needs a boost every now and then, right?
Con: I'm not really sure where Jus's desk even is.
How stupid would I look, a little girl, running around this grown-up office peeking in each person's cubicle, looking for the back of a blonde head? I can just see myself panicking.
In this state of panic, my rash behavior would take over, and this would result in making a wild guess as to which cube was my husband's, and leaving this candy bar and (semi-tacky) note in some other guy's cube. Wouldn't be one of my shining moments as a wife...
When I went to open the office door, and couldn't. It was locked. I texted Jus.
So, instead of me sneaking in, Jus snuck out, and the candy bar was delivered. To the right boy. (Win) In the right cubicle. (Win) And he liked it. (Win)
I kinda like him. (Win, win!)
