The Facts

Fact: I am a TERRRIBLE blogger. I started a blog once, and only posted a few times. In the end, I decided to can it. Another fact: My husband-to-be is darling. With the latter of those two things in mind, I'm going to overlook fact number one, and focus more on fact number two. That is what this blog is about. A history of... well... whatever it is that we do.

Currently, we're busy planning a wedding, working, and going to school (which is hereafter classified as Jus's second job.). Although we're busy, things are coming together nicely (Mom might beg to differ.) But, there is still so much to be done! It's almost overwhelming. But that feeling is overwhelmed in turn by how excited we both are. Marrying my best friend? Yep, pretty exciting!

Isn't Fall intoxicating? I love everything about it (scary skeletons and creepy clowns excluded). I'm hoping the leaves are still pretty for our wedding. In addition to warm sweaters, crunchy leaves, and chocolate chip pumpkin muffins (see recipe below), I've decided Disneyland is delightful this time of year too! Jus and I recently returned from there with his family. While its the happiest place on earth year round, I wonder if its just a smidgen happier in the Fall. The weather was perfect, and the whole park was decked out in Halloween decor. The Haunted Mansion was fantastic! I wish I could have taken pictures throughout the whole ride, it was that cool. After a 15 year absence, I felt like a little kid running around the park, wanting to do everything all at once, (and wanting to eat like, six churros. Yum.)

The beaches in California are gorgeous! There's something about walking barefoot along the beach that's just romantic. I loved it.

P.S. Does anyone know of a place to get cute blog backgrounds? I'm struggling a little with this one.

Pumpkin Bread (This recipe is for bread, but it makes the most delicious muffins too. Thanks Ginger!)
2 & 2/3 C. Sugar
2/3 C. Margarine
1 Can of pumpkin
2/3 C. water
4 eggs
3 & 1/3 C. Flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 & 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 bag of little chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 loaf pans. Mix sugar and margarine in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin, water, and eggs. Mix in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder. Stir in mini chocolate chips. Pour into pans. Bake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes. If you want to make muffins, cook about 11 minutes at 350.
